Where is common sense in our judicial system? It is obvious that Katherine Conner is not a criminal. She is the victim of an unlicensed contractor; and when she tried to stand up for herself, she was punished!

Why do stories like this continue to manifest themselves? A judge with bias decides what is and is not tangible evidence, a defense that literally makes the term “you get what you pay for” true, and someone who went through the ringer due to Katrina and Rita continues to bear the shaft of an inept government (both federal and state), futile relief funds, and pretty much treated as if she was trying to get ahead and pull one over on the system. It seems as though something is incredibly wrong when all of these factors make Katherine Conner, a law abiding citizen into a felon. Sadly, in order to clear her record and name of this wrongful conviction, this will require money- lots of it. But this is how a feudal system works- you can do anything you want provided you can pay for it, including defend yourself to ridiculous charges. Speaking from the heart, each time a sentence is imposed such as this, faith in our judicial system receives another proverbial crack, and how long until those who are victims of it outnumber the ones who impose it 10 to 1 and revolt? Maybe I’m thinking a microcosm of New World Order here, and I can’t help but stoop to Jim Crow’s level of thought and think that race played into her conviction as well. If nothing else- even if Katherine’s side of the story is slanted, even if she is only telling you her end of it from her eyes- at least she is using all resources available to fight back. She, with humility has brought her case to the attention of those who will listen. This is the power of an open source media page. Please sign petitions, send emails to her constituents, and demand that justice be served.

It appears that justice is not a part of this woman’s story. It is another sad example of how broken our system is all over the USA. I do hope that you are able to find the support and legal help to turn this around for you.

This is just crazy that this great injustice was done to you, Katherine. When actually the fault of the whole situation should have been with the roofing contractor who overcharged you. They should have been charged with theft. Keep trusting in God & He will make sure you will be vindicated in the end.

I was arrested on two felonies here in Texas on 6/21/2011. It has been almost a year, and I have yet to be indicted. It is by God’s grace that I have not been indicted. Trust God, and He will protect you.

Sista…damn….Morris Dees can’t help you at the Southern Poverty Law Center?….No one to do a pro bono for you ?….The Justice Dept was looking into your state right ?…how about them..Ican share your info and give ear if you need to talk..and pray that you find some justice in this that you do….I have had to fight the powers that be in court before too….just Do as you are and stay up on everything as you are…and don’t be dismayed..you will be victorious….I was…in two legal issues…and my third is going on 9 years, workers comp….and and i know they can only stall this thing for so long…I’m too honery to die first…stay vigilent..

Something needs to be done, she should not be in prison. I hate this, this kind of thing goes on and on, unless you have the financial help or wealthy, then your most likely wouldn’t be in this position. Understanding this is the way this world seems to operate…her background was just fine, until all this happened, a mistake by the bank & now she’s paying for it…JUSTICE!!!
